Summary

The research in this animation looks at the pattern of racially and religiously motivated hate crime around the 2016 Brexit referendum and in particular the post referendum rise in hate crime. The aim is to understand the extent to which the referendum triggered a change in the norms governing behaviour towards immigrants or more generally people from ethnic or religious minorities.
