Can we boost our endogenous defences against Covid-19?

Project specs

Maurizio Dattilo

The Covid 19 pandemic has opened up new avenues for the development of targeted interventions to aid those who are more genetically predisposed to the virus.

Parthenogen are exploring the interactions between genetics and the dietary supplementation of hydrogen sulphide to boost the body’s immune response and defence against infections, such as SARS-CoV-2. There work could lead to better, more personalised nutritional supplementation and protection from future viral infections.

Researcher Profile

Maurizio Dattilo is an independent scientist dedicated to human metabolism and to its modulation by dietary manipulation. Research is intended at understanding the interaction between genetics and feeding habits so to design corrective interventions including dietary supplementation and personalised medicine.
