“NutriRECS is an international independent working group with clinical, nutritional and public health content expertise, highly skilled in the methodology of systematic reviews, meta-analysis
and practice guidelines.

In 2019, the group produced what has been called the highest quality guidelines on red and processed meat to date, setting a new standard for dietary guidelines while minimizing the potential for conflicts of interest in nutrition recommendations. The NutriRECS work based on advanced methods using international guideline standards represents a major disruption to the typical nutrition guideline methods. NutriRECS did not address animal welfare or environmental concerns related to meat.”
