Correlation between red and processed meat consumption and health risk
NutriRECS is an international independent working group with clinical, nutritional and public health content expertise, highly skilled in the methodology of systematic reviews, meta-analysis and practice guidelines. In 2019, the group produced what has been called the highest quality guidelines on red and processed meat to date, setting a new standard for dietary guidelines while minimizing the potential for conflicts of interest in nutrition recommendations. The NutriRECS work based on advanced methods using international guideline standards represents a major disruption to the typical nutrition guideline methods. NutriRECS did not address animal welfare or environmental concerns related to meat.
