Summary

DETECT-2 will test a new genetic testing pathway for people with bowel, womb, and ovarian cancer. DETECT-2 is comparing offering genetic testing to cancer patients directly at home vs. testing in hospital. Patients are randomly assigned to one of these groups. The study will assess how many patients accept testing, the impact of genetic testing on a person’s mental well-being, satisfaction, and quality-of-life. It will also test if genetic testing at home is cost-effective.
