Summary

There has been an increase in innovation activity in children’s social care over the past decade. Researchers on the Innovate Project conducted a review of innovation literature and it found that not all innovation taking place in the sector aligns with the values of social work or aims to improve the lives of young people. ‘Trustworthy’ innovation is a new framework that helps professionals understand and promote ethical innovation in children’s social care.
