Summary

The Brian Infections Group at the University of Liverpool and the Encephalitis Society are looking for hospital sites to join their team running the Enceph-IG study. This is a randomised placebo-controlled trial of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) in autoimmune encephalitis. Autoimmune encephalitis is a rare, sometimes devastating inflammation and swelling of the brain caused by the body’s only immune defences.
