Summary

The CLEF Laboratory studies how our experiences shape our brain function to enable learning and long-term memory by investigation the interactions between levels of neurobiological inquiry that span genes, molecules, to circuits, systems and —ultimately — behavior.

Researcher Profile

The CLEF Laboratory, for “Cortex, Learning, Epigenetics, and Function”, is comprised of a team of undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral and research faculty led by Dr. Kasia M. Bieszczad who together investigate broadly the neurobiology of learning & memory, auditory system circuits, functions & functional reorganization with experience, and their connection with molecular epigenetics and the genomic underpinnings of behavior.
