Image-guided surgical removal of cancer

This animation focuses on the image-guided surgery group of Dr Alex Vahrmeijer from the Leiden University Medical Center who use fluorescent tracers during surgery to accurately distinguish between cancer and normal tissue. They develop and evaluate tracers for many cancer types to assist surgeons to remove all malignant cells and spare the healthy tissue.Aimed at researchers, clinicians and students.
