Summary

Farmed salmon can contract a bacterial disease called tenacibaculosis. A team at Nofima, led by Dr Karlsen have been studying proteins encoded by the bacterium causing the disease as potential vaccine candidates. Dr Karlsens’ team found that fish exposed to the proteins had increased immunity.
