The Safeback SBX is an air supply system which can be integrated into specialised backpacks to aid avalanche survival. Once activated, SBX pumps air from the surrounding snow through the backpack and out of hoses on the shoulder straps, supplying the victim with fresh air for 90 minutes and displacing CO2 to extend survival time until they are rescued.
