The mystery of Mono Lake – why does it turn green?

This animation explores a study by graduate students in the 2016 International Geobiology Course worked on Mono Lake, California obtaining samples to better understand the role of algae, other microbiota and brine shrimp in the maintenance of the lake’s ecosystem health. This is aimed at students, researchers and the generic public.
