Summary

Eliciting information from people at scale can be challenging. Qualitative approaches provide rich information but are difficult to scale. Traditional quantitative approaches commonly leverage questionnaires with discrete responses, providing very basic information. At LUCID, the Lab for Uncertainty in Data and Decision Making, we’ve designed the interval-valued response mode which offers efficient and effective elicitation of richer information – while being less arduous, and, dare we say it, more fun! Our work focuses on the analysis of the resulting data, generating new insights, and developing new machine learning and AI techniques to support decision-makers. Interested? Get in touch!
