Summary

Changes in the way particles behave when handled in large quantities can lead to unexpected costs or severely impact product quality when scaling up production. Beginning in March 2021, the project “Training in Upscaling particle Systems: Advancing Industry across Length-scales” (TUSAIL) has been training 15 early-career researchers. Over the course of four years, they have been developing simulation methodologies and tools that can help industry design processes that provide reliable quality and performance at larger volumes. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie grant agreement No 955661.
