Summary

Healthy watersheds sustain life. Yet many are threatened by human activities such as building dams, which alter their natural course and impact the vegetation and wildlife that depend on them. Removing these structures and restoring watersheds can have a positive impact on the plants and wildlife that live there, and on the people who visit and live nearby. Using the San Vicente Creek watershed as an example, Sempervirens Fund explore what watersheds are and why they matter.
