REDI4Heat – RED implementation for heating and cooling
Summary
REDI4Heat is an EU funded project aimed at decarbonising heating and cooling, which account for a large proportion of energy consumption in European households. It aims to assist member states and local authorities in complying with the Renewables Energy Directive by identifying shortcomings in current strategies and providing recommendations for improvement. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions to meet decarbonisation targets in Europe and this work will be carried out by representatives of national energy agencies, renewable heating and cooling trade associations, a network of local authorities and energy consultants.
