Summary

People want the early signs of potentially serious health issues to be detected, so that timely intervention can be undertaken before it is too late. Can one do the same for wind turbines, the most valuable asset in wind energy production? Existing methodologies are not up to the task, because today’s fault and anomaly detection methods are predominantly for point-wise detection. Watch this video to find out what is a point-wise detection, why it does not work well, and how to endow the diagnostic system with early warning capability.
