If vaccines aren’t cures, and I can still catch and spread COVID, why bother?

People often cite breakthrough infections or booster shots as reasons why the COVID vaccine doesn’t work. But that’s simply not the case. Let’s talk about how the immune system works, and how vaccines act as an extra layer of protection for our immune system to fight viruses like COVID-19, and significantly reduce our chances of severe illness and death.
