Summary

Oxford University’s Wolfson College is eliminating carbon emissions from its Grade II listed estate, making it the UK’s first ever zero carbon higher education institution. Structural changes will see the College cut over 50% of its estate’s carbon emissions by March 2022, with the view to achieve a zero carbon estate by 2024, the 50th anniversary of the College buildings’ opening. The transformation shows a long-term commitment by Wolfson College to play its part in the global efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
